Dr. Fisher teaches applied technology and emergency management through practical work, ethical framing, and the pressure-tested habits that make tools useful.

His teaching begins with use. Students and faculty need enough conceptual structure to understand what a system is doing, enough practical fluency to work with it, and enough skepticism to know when the output needs review. That balance appears across AI, UI/UX, enterprise platforms, emergency management, GIS, and remote sensing.

The paramedic background matters here. It shows up in the way courses move from explanation to scenario, from scenario to decision, and from decision to consequence. The classroom is calm, but the habits are built for less tidy rooms.
